WELL HERE'S A RECAP!

SEPTEMBER 10TH, 2024

Brenda Collins - Sherwin Inc.

Brenda will be presenting on her start in the NDT industry and will be sharing a video that was produced by ASNT in the early 90's highlighting women who have served in various industries of NDT. With March being the month that ASNT recognizes the women who have held roles in NDT, she will also be recognizing the women that serve in her local community.

Lloyd Graham - Technical Sales Specialist

The most brutal enemy we face is corrosion. With most of our infrastructure being constructed from carbon steel, the cost associated with our front-line battle to inspect our critical assets is enormous. If we can utilize a tool such as Pulsed Eddy Current to help us make more informed decisions, the cost savings will be exponential. We can then allocate resources to other critical areas versus wasting it in stripping insulation to only find it was unnecessary. The Lyft from Eddyfi Technologies allows the user to inspect assets rapidly, identifying if and where areas of corrosion are present, helping asset owners make better decisions when it relates to stripping and repairs.

Lucas Garcia - Screening Eagle

Lucas will be presenting/speaking regarding how Screening Eagle is using GPR to help protect the built world. Lucas will be presenting mostly on GPR but will also discuss their other products and applications of them, such as hardness and ultrasonic testing.

Started working with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) in 2015 doing concrete structure scanning, underground utility surveys, and industrial radiography for a national construction service company where he grew to be the national trainer.

Currently, works for Screening Eagle as a Technical Solutions Engineer where he provides technical product support, sales support, and training to clients.

Stephen M. Fuller Jr. - Dolphitech

The dolphicam2 is capable of high-resolution imaging and precise measurements for a wide range of material types including composites, metals and multi materials. With a straightforward, quick to deploy, user-friendly system, technicians of all experience levels can generate analysis-ready images of materials in real time for quick decision making. The dolphicam2 software is unique among NDT packages, designed from the ground up to complement the imaging capabilities of the platform (including Live C-scans). Ultrasonic images are shown not just using conventional signal amplitudes, but also as time of flight, opening up a world of instant, color-coded thickness mapping. This is helped further by the live 3D characterization view, which instantly enhance visualization and can be readily interpreted by different levels of end-users For maximum image quality we also provide Total Focusing Method (TFM) reconstructions, with TFM images available on both vertical and horizontal B-scan views.

Joel Davis - ASM International

ASM International is the world's largest and most established materials information society with a mission to gather, process, and disseminate materials information globally, through education, networking, and professional development. Originally founded in 1913 ASM has grown to over 80 chapters in a dozen countries with membership totaling 30,000 materials scientists and engineers. Perhaps the best known product of ASM international is the ASM Handbook, now spanning 24 volumes including they are a comprehensive and authoritative guide to the structure, properties, processing, performance, and evaluation of metals and nonmetallic engineering materials. ASM International is a volunteer driven society that connects its members to a global network of peers and provides access to trusted materials information through reference content, data and research, education courses and international events; helping them to solve problems and improve materials related outcomes.
